I love this story! GAME OF LOVE is a delightful read. Ara Grigorian's writing style is beautiful and captivating. Grigorian's smart and witty prose lights up the page, bringing his characters to life.

This is a fantastic book. I'm still in awe of Ara Grigorian's ability to weave the game of tennis into Gemma and Andre's whirlwind romance. It's beautiful. It takes an accomplished wordsmith to write such a layered, smart, and witty story. Well done! I look forward to more books by Ara Grigorian, his stories don't disappoint!

I am admittedly not much of a Romance reader. Everything is predictable and fairly formulaic. Give me a Dystopian culture and I'm wrapped up immediately. Romance - well, it takes a special book to have me up all night fighting sleep so I could finish "just one more chapter.."

However, Game of Love completely surprised me by leading me down paths where I just knew what was going to happen - and may have even had strong "conversations" (maybe even gripe sessions) with the Author (in my head, of course) about where this was all headed - but, pleasantly, I was wrong.

So often, especially when reading books with a "celebrity" angle, the celebrity comes across as someone so vain that you have no way of identifying with that character. Thankfully, Gemma and Andre were both very real people whom you wanted to care about and see them find happiness.

Heck - I may have even stopped to watch part of the French Open while I was reading this. Something I can promise you has NEVER happened...

WOW! What a FANTASTIC debut book for Ara! It was very well written and I absolutely LOVED Gemma & Andre! My words don't do enough to describe how awesome this book is!! This is a MUST READ!!!!!
You know it's a good book when it's the last thing you read at night and the first thing you reach for in the morning. This was the case for me with Game of Love.

Engaging and fast-paced, this novel offers a behind-the-scenes look at the life of an athlete/celebrity doing her best to stay focused on tennis despite the many demands on her time and attention. Even though a new romance isn't on Gemma's agenda, she can't resist the handsome and brilliant Andre Reyes (nor could I). I especially enjoyed reading about how Gemma and Andre handled the difficulties of nurturing a new romance while trying to avoid the paparazzi.

Following Andre and Gemma's relationship with all its hits, misses, and complications is a real treat. I adore smart, flirty banter and this book offers it in spades. It's especially delicious because it feels real rather than forced. In general, I prefer books written in first person, but Ara does a masterful job of including enough flavor and color that I didn't mind reading this book in third person. As someone who loves to travel, I appreciated the glamorous settings on the Left Coast and in Europe.

Overall, I recommend this book to anyone who wants a delightful romance they won't want to put down.
